Getting your memories onto it shouldn't be the hard part.
Digital photo frames are one of the most heartfelt gifts you can give — and one of the most quietly frustrating. We've looked at what goes wrong, and built Memora to fix it.
Most mid-range frames are built around two formats: JPEG for photos and H.264 MP4 for video. Some newer frames have started to accept a few extras — but for the majority, anything outside those two is simply ignored.
RAW photos from Canon, Nikon, Sony or Fujifilm cameras are almost never supported. Legacy camcorder video — MTS, AVI, MOD, VOB — rarely works. Even HEIC from iPhones is still rejected by many frames. The result: the frame skips the file, shows nothing, and gives no explanation. Just silence.
You upload your files — any format, any camera, any era. We run everything through our conversion pipeline, producing correctly oriented JPEGs and H.264 MP4 videos at the right resolution, with audio preserved.
We cover the vast majority of what people send us. If you have something unusual, drop us a message before ordering and we'll confirm whether we can handle it.
Home videos from old camcorders, iPhones, Canon cameras and Android phones each store rotation, codec and audio differently. Frames reject them silently. No error. No guidance. Forum threads stretching back years are full of people trying to learn technical tools just to watch their kids' birthday videos.
Many popular frames cap free wireless uploads at 10 photos at a time — get past that and you're paying a yearly subscription. Others include free cloud storage that quietly expires after a year or two, after which a paid plan is required to keep sending photos wirelessly. These costs aren't obvious at the point of purchase. Memora is a single payment — no caps, no subscriptions, no renewal emails.
Setup happens at the recipient's house, on their Wi-Fi, with their router. For elderly or non-technical relatives, the gift becomes a phone call — or a return trip. Memora delivers everything pre-loaded. There is no setup. You plug it in.
Send us 50 photos or 5,000. One flat fee, processed in full. No monthly charge, no upload cap, no "upgrade to continue."
AVI from old digital camcorders, iPhone HEVC, Canon RAW, vertical phone clips — if it's already a digital file, we handle it. Rotation fixed. Codec converted. They just play.
We deliver the storage media pre-loaded. The recipient plugs it in. No app, no Wi-Fi password, no "Dad, what's your network called?"
No cloud storage. No account to manage. No "your subscription has lapsed" emails six months later. Your memories come back to you on physical media.
